Their first date was a bit of a disaster-it started pouring while they were enjoying their outdoor dinner, Smallwood fell into a mud puddle, and they had to wait over an hour for a subway train. You know how married couples are. They love to play matchmaker. Well, with Jasmine and Adrian at the same church, it was only a matter of time before someone (shout out to Sherry) decided to play a little game called, "Have you met Adrian?"
Jasmine was serving in the Children's ministry, and Adrian was serving in the Teen ministry. Once their paths crossed, a great friendship was born. One date led to two dates, led to four dates, led to more dates.
The two continued to build their relationship while focusing on putting God first. After about a year of friendship and a year of dating, Adrian decided, I need to lock this down! If you didn't catch the proposal, here it is!
